Vehicle Description

1999 T reg Bentley Arnage 4.4 V8 Auto 5 owners(last since June 2013+daughter to remove private reg after his death) 78,600 miles fsh, 8 Bentley stamps @ 9k,18k, 29k, 40k, 50k, 57k, 61k, 63k and 69k + a non specialist stamp @ 65k + son in law @ 78k Aug 2018. Metallic Peacock Blue, heated cream leather w/blue piping, wood trim, cream piped blue carpets, matching driver's over mat, heated e/mem/fr/seats, e/rr/seats, cruise, dual climate, airbags, abs, pas, e/windows, e/mirrors, remote c/locking alarm/immob, 2 keys, stack cd, new ind/wiper stalk, new battery, replacement e/aerial+fr/passenger e/window motor(previous owner had the other 3 e/window motors renewed), Aug mot with no advisories, r/tax £265pa, £23.19p pm. Car drives extremely well, as you'd expect at only 78,000 miles, and on inspection the underneath is in very good condition, as is the exhaust. There are 3 minor faults, the be able to demist the windows, is the only one that would need doing: 1/* Interior blower fan/resisitor need replacing ( HEVAC unit, heater+flaps, all good and fully working ). 2/** Sport button on gear knob not working. 3/*** AC has a leak behind the AC compressor. *1 I've had it inspected by a Bentley specialist hoping it might be an external wiring/relay fault but no it needs the dash to come out. This can be a 40hr job, I've been quoted £1500- £2k labour by three Bentley specialists, parts are BMW 7 series for less than £200 new. I've also had a 'quote' from a car electronics firm in the Midlands, that specialise in BMWs, for only £400 to £500 labour but as they've not done the job before so I'm not sure?? **2 Car's fast enough without it so not really necessary, unless whilst fitting the fan motor it could be fixed cheaply? ***3 Either a pipe, connection or the compressor but would need further investigation. Heater still works hot and cold, especially after the new fan motor has been fitted, so again not really necessary. The car is priced to allow for the new owner's expenses, or time, to have a new fan motor and resistor fitted. I was considering fitting it myself but it's a complicated job and as I've decided the car isn't suited to our local roads have decided against it. Ideal for a competent diy home mechanic to save £2k. I bought this car to keep, as I'd always wanted a Bentley, but the roads around here are too small, single track and dirty. By the time I've travelled a couple of miles it looks like it's been through a field, not a good look for a Bentley, and moving into a ditch to allow tractors to pass isn't ideal I've bought a 4.4 V8 Range Rover instead! Part exchange considered but this is a private sale, reduced from £13,995 to £12,995, any inspection invited/welcomed. Due to these unprecedented times, and as we are trying to self isolate as much as possible, in depth phone discussions will need to take place before any viewing etc. Viewing by appointment only, please phone to arrange.
